FAQ
Jumpflight is a platform for reselling flights. There can be several reasons why it's necessary to resell tickets: travel plan change, illness or other unpredictable events may occure. Often these situations are not covered by insurance (if at all existing). Also it is often not possible to cancel the flight or only at great expenses.
So why don't try to resell the tickets on your own. These flights offer interesting opportunities for frequent or spontaneous travelers, bargain hunters and globetrotters. So Jumpflight connects travelers from all over the world to sell and purchase flights. Interested persons contact sellers via Jumpflight and organize the ticket transfer on their own. Jumpflight is not the contractor/vendor of offered flights.
How this works, which general aspects have to be taken into consideration – have a look at our FAQs.

RESELL YOUR FLIGHT – HOW IT WORK'S: Is my ticket transferable?

Many travellers are not aware that their flight tickets are transferable – but unfortunately not in either case. So first step, if you want to sell your ticket is to contact your airline respectively your travel broker (agent, internet portal). Ask if your ticket is generally transferable (some airlines call this process "name change"). In addition it helps to read through the Terms of Use of your airline/travel agent.

Which general conditions have to be considered?

If your ticket is transferable, ask your airline or broker for general conditions. This might be a fee for changing the name on the ticket. Some airlines also expect the travelers to pay the fare-difference or only allow reselling the ticket at the current price level. Check if respectively on what terms a cancellation is possible before the flight date - sometimes a partial refund is possible or other options might be offered by the airline/travel agent. Also in this case it might help to read through the Terms of Use additionally. However, not all flight tickets are transferable. Only in case you know all conditions you can decide if it makes sense at all to resell your tickets -even if it might be possible-.

How is the ticket technically transfered?

If the ticket is transferable and it makes sense trying to resell the ticket, ask your airline how the ticket will be transferred in case you find a buyer. Which information/data (in case documents) do you have to deliver so that name change can take place? Also ask how long this process will take time.
